When Archer Wagstaff was only 18 months old, he was diagnosed with cancer. Doctors discovered a tumor the size of a small cantaloupe on the right lobe of his liver. He went through an intense surgery to remove the tumor and regular treatments of chemotherapy followed. The surgery and chemo appeared to be successful and Archer was declared cancer free (for more on this, click here). But the verdict didn’t last. Just months ago, Archer was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. He is now a 4-year-old going through regular treatments of chemotherapy.
Cancer sucks. And so does chemo. But Archer is exceptionally resilient. His chemo treatments wipe out his immunity and his hair production but they have never been able to lessen his endless supply of contagious smiles and heart-felt hugs. He looks forward to being cancer free. And he looks forward to being done with chemo so he can do things that other kids do like getting dirty and getting into trouble around the neighborhood.
